Unveiling Wisdom: The Path from Doing to Being
Service Description
How can we engage in Asana practice that moves beyond “doing the pose”? Are we content to stay on the surface of our being, or are we diving in and discovering the richness and inherent wisdom that flows within the outer form, ultimately connecting us to others and the larger web of existence. Using inspiration from BKS Iyengar’s commentary on Sutra 1.17, this workshop will methodically trace a path from creating the outer shape or “form” of basic asanas and pranayama to experiencing deepening layers of awareness that penetrates beyond the conceptual mind and opens the gateway to the spiritual heart. This experience of integration culminates in a state of “Being”. Experiencing life moment to moment as whole-hearted “Presence” is one of the greatest gifts of Yoga and offers us hope, joy and meaning as we continue to explore life as human “beings”.
